Straight Smiles In Less Time
Unlike traditional braces, which move the crown of a tooth during the first year of treatment, and the root during the second year of treatment, Fastbraces® move the crown and root at the same time. Fastbraces® features a patented triangular bracket, which allows for more room between the braces, and provides greater flexibility. These new technology systems of braces facilitate the continuation of eruption, while possibly inducing alveolar bone remodeling, and development in short treatment times by moving the roots toward their final naturally erupted position. This ortho induced eruption of teeth results in the successful completion of non-extraction cases.
We use Fastbraces® technology as an affordable, and quick solution to teeth straightening. Fastbraces is suitable for any age group, and is designed to straighten teeth in as little as 3 to 12 months!
How Does It Work?
The first step to a great smile is to meet one-on-one with Dr. Collins to determine if you are a candidate for the Fastbraces® system. Dr. Collins completes a comprehensive exam of your mouth and smile. He then takes impressions and x-rays to help create a customized plan designed specifically for you!
Is It Safe?
Absolutely! The creator of Fastbraces® has been using it himself for 20 years! The chance for problems is no higher than that of traditional brackets. As a matter of fact, with the braces in place for a shorter period, there could be a lower probability for staining, root problems, or decay due to poor brushing.
Does It Reduce Retainer Wear?
With complete alignment of the roots of the teeth, retention is needed every day for only 15-20 minutes! Some people like wearing the retainers at night in the comfort of their own home. With this mouth wear, there is no need for hours of retention! This is yet another reason why Fastbraces® technology is changing the way orthodontics is done altogether!
